HUAWEI Phones (Android 8.0)

Problem

Not getting notifications for new BOTIM messages? Here is the fix.

Causes

Huawei phone system automatically ends all apps running in background, unless they are marked as protected apps manually.

Solution

• Enable Notifications

  1. Go to your Huawei phone's Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap on Notification & status bar

  3. Tap on Notifications management

  4. Find BOTIM and tap on it

  5. Switch the notification options to ON

     

• Disable Battery Optimization for BOTIM

  1. Go to your Huawei phone's Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap on Apps & Notifications

  3. Tap on Apps

  4. Find Settings near the bottom of the screen

  5. Tap on Special Access

  6. Tap on Ignore Battery Optimization

  7. Tap on All Apps

  8. Tap on BOTIM and choose Allow, then press OK

     

• Disable Manage automatically for BOTIM

  1. Go to your Huawei phone's Settings

  2. Go to Battery

  3. Tap on Launch

  4. Turn off Manage automatically by tapping on the switch to the right of BOTIM

  5. In the pop up menu, enable Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background options

  6. Tap on OK
